About me:
Elsa Ramos Elías is an Ayurveda expert and international speaker whose work explores how ancestral medical systems understood the relationship between digestion, the nervous system, and emotional suffering centuries before modern science.
Trained in classical Ayurvedic medicine with more than 4,000 hours of clinical study, she specializes in the prevention and treatment of chronic imbalances through the traditional principles of digestive health, nervous system regulation, and lifestyle medicine. Her work also integrates perspectives from ancestral healing traditions and contemplative practices.
Through her talks, Elsa brings ancient medicine into dialogue with contemporary perspectives on burnout, emotional recovery, and women’s health. She offers her audiences a deeper understanding of how modern lifestyles disrupt physiological balance and how traditional medical systems developed practical methods to restore it.
Elsa Ramos Elías speaks internationally at conferences on integrative medicine, wellness, and human health.
Experience
I have been invited as a speaker at international conferences on traditional medicine across Europe and Asia, including events in Rome, Lisbon, and Tokyo.
I was also invited to present my work at the Tao Arts of Transformation, led by New York Times bestselling author Dr. and Master Sha, with more than 650 attendees.
My work sits at the intersection of ancestral medicine, nervous system regulation, and women’s health, and has been presented to international audiences of doctors, therapists, and spiritual teachers.
Topics for articles and conferences
1. Ancestral Medicine for the Nervous System in the Modern Age
Modern life is generating unprecedented levels of anxiety, burnout, and emotional exhaustion. Yet centuries before neuroscience existed, ancestral medical systems had already mapped the relationship between digestion, the nervous system, and emotional suffering.
In this talk, Elsa Ramos Elías explores how traditional Ayurvedic medicine understood nervous system regulation and why digestive health, sleep, and emotional balance are deeply interconnected. Drawing from ancestral clinical knowledge and contemporary perspectives, she offers a new framework for understanding the physiological roots of modern stress.
Audience: wellness conferences, integrative medicine, corporate wellbeing
2. Panchakarma: The Original Biological Reset
Chronic inflammation, digestive disorders, and metabolic exhaustion are increasingly common in modern life. Ayurveda developed sophisticated detoxification and rejuvenation protocols centuries ago to restore physiological balance.
In this talk, Elsa Ramos Elías explains the principles of Panchakarma, the classical Ayurvedic system of purification and regeneration. She explores how this ancestral approach addresses toxicity, digestive dysfunction, and nervous system overload, and why these traditional methods are regaining prominence in the context of modern longevity and preventive medicine.
Audience: medical conferences, longevity summits, wellness clinics
3. The Physiology of Heartbreak
Romantic separation is often treated as a purely emotional experience. Yet heartbreak produces profound physiological effects: sleep disruption, digestive imbalance, hormonal stress, and nervous system dysregulation.
In this talk, Elsa Ramos Elías explores the biological and emotional consequences of romantic rupture through the lens of ancestral medicine and modern neuroscience. She explains how the body processes emotional trauma and why recovery requires regulating the nervous system as much as understanding the mind.
Audience: women’s conferences, mental health events, personal development
4. Healing the Soul: Ancestral Medicine and the Spiritual Dimension of Healing
Traditional medical systems did not separate body, mind, and spirit. Illness was understood as a disruption affecting the human being as a whole.
Drawing from her training in Ayurvedic medicine and indigenous healing traditions, Elsa Ramos Elías explores the spiritual dimension of healing that ancestral systems considered essential to recovery. She reflects on how modern medicine is beginning to rediscover the importance of meaning, connection, and inner coherence in the healing process.
Audience: wellness festivals, retreats, integrative medicine conferences.
