On 28 September 2026 I publish She Chose Healing: The Ayurvedic Science of Healing from Heartbreak. It is the book I have been working on since I started noticing, consultation after consultation, that the women arriving after a breakup were not bringing sadness alone. They were bringing insomnia, broken digestion, disordered cycles, and a fatigue that would not lift. The announcement went out on 2 July through EIN Presswire and was syndicated in, among others, The National Law Review.

What publishes, and when

The book comes out on 28 September 2026 in digital format, and it is already on preorder on Amazon. It is written for women who have never studied Ayurveda, so it translates concepts such as dosha and nervous-system regulation into everyday language and concrete steps.

I first presented the protocol behind the book in June, at the international traditional medicine conference in Barcelona, under the title Rebuilding after Heartbreak: A Structured Ayurvedic Approach. I present it again in Tokyo in October.

Why a book on the physiology of heartbreak

We live in a culture of dating apps and of "next", where a breakup is something to get over quickly and post about later. That framing ignores what separation does to the body. When a relationship ends, sleep, digestion, hormonal balance, and the nervous system are disrupted at once, and for a while a person is not equipped to make clear decisions.

We treat heartbreak as something to get over fast, and we ignore what it is doing to the body.

That is the argument of the book, and it is what I set out in healing from heartbreak: the physiology of a breakup. Ayurveda works well here because it never separated body from emotion, a premise that runs through the whole system, as what Ayurveda is explains.

What is inside

The book covers what happens to sleep and digestion after a separation, how to steady the body before making decisions, and which daily practices rebuild vital energy. It is not a book of consolation. It is a method, with a sequence, and with criteria for knowing where you are in it.

It also gives room to something almost nobody examines when a relationship ends, which is the nature of the bond itself, and what made it hold.

Hrid Basti, the therapy over the heart

One of the therapies the book describes is Hrid Basti. A small ring of dough is formed on the chest, becomes a shallow well, and warm medicated oil is held there over the heart for the length of the treatment. The chest softens and releases what grief leaves behind.

Ayurveda developed this therapy long before modern science described the heart as having its own afferent neurons, sensory nerves that send signals back to the brain. The tradition already treated the heart as a physical place rather than only a feeling, and gave it a real way back to calm.

Who the book is for

For women in the months after a separation whose body has not returned to baseline. For women who are being told to move on and can feel that something physical has not settled. And for anyone who wants to understand what the nervous system does during a loss, whether or not they ever practise Ayurveda.

If you want to know where you currently are in that process, the free Ayurvedic breakup assessment gives a reading by dosha in a few minutes.

Where to preorder

Preorder is open on Amazon. Ordering now means the book downloads on its own on the 28th, and the preorder price is locked in.

If your situation needs more than a book, or if your body has spent months without recovering, that is where an individual assessment makes sense. You can reach me through an ayurveda online consultation.

Who this book is for

For the woman going through a breakup — fresh or long-buried — who refuses to settle for «time heals». She Chose Healing joins what science knows about heartbreak with what Ayurveda has done for centuries: treat a broken heart as a whole-body event. If you have been searching for how to get over a breakup with a real map instead of pep talks, this is that map.

What is the HEARTFIX© method?

The phased system I use with clients: stabilise the body first (sleep, digestion, nervous system), then process the loss, then rebuild identity and energy. The Ayurvedic breakup protocol on the blog is a taste of phase one.
